🐾 Auggie 🐾

Put your paws together for our pet of the week, Auggie! Auggie is a 4 year old Boston terrier sporting a red and white coat that goes with any occasion. He's super easy to get along with, making friends with human and doggo neighbors, and definitely prefers company to being by himself. Come get to know Auggie!

Auggie usually greets his visitors with high energy, but with all the activity, he sometimes settles into a good snooze after all the playtime and fun of hanging with us! His owners have selected our home visits by the hour, having us visit Auggie for a 3 hour period when their work days are long. It really helps him to stay calm and not miss his humans so much. Nathaniel and Ryan have had the great fortune of seeing Auggs and enjoying a great bond seeing him often.

Our staff take Auggie out for a walk first thing to do his potty business and all his sniffing, then enjoy some yard time to fetch and run around. He also enjoys plenty of fun with his vast toy collection! Sometimes it isn't healthy for Auggie to be outdoors due to the physical traits of his breed and his overall uniqueness; breathing gets harder with extreme weather conditions, whether it's hot or cold, so we keep a close watch and read his body language and expressive face. Whatever the case, we've established great communication between our staff providing care and Auggie's humans, and they let us know if he needs anything extra, like feeding, so we all stay on the same page. I think I'll take a page right out of Auggie's book and be with my humans, pets, and toys. Thanks for the great idea, Auggs!
