🐾 Dash 🐾

Put your paws together for our pet of the week, Dash! This 2 and a half year old English Setter is showing off this fabulous Blue Belton style, white with black spots — dashes, actually! He loves attention, is super sweet and cuddly, and is trained on numerous great commands. Dash is often accompanied by his doggo brother Charlie! Hurry up, dash on down to learn more about Mr Dash!

Dash's owners needed a lot of flexibility with schedling him and Charlie. Typically either a 30 or 45 minute in home visit is selected when the visit is for just one or for both. Care instructions are clear and so easy to send in the app, so our staff stay on top of their communications regarding a particular visit's meal, whether or not they went potty earlier, etc. Sarah, Lucia, and Nathaniel have the pleasure of knowing Dash more closely through many fun visits.

Since Dash is so young, we have had the pleasure of knowing him early and through various stages of his puppyhood, watching his behaviours shift. Recently, the crew has been watching that he doesn't succeed in eating too much from outside, like sticks, grass, leaves, and mulch. Staff describe him as "relentless" with the sticks! His owners have also experimented with separate yard times so there are no distractions or personality clashes. Some of the time, he needs to be crated whenever the crew leave. A few months ago, Dash got to sport the dreaded cone to prevent him from licking an incision. The crew tried to keep him from acting too wild, too. Brother Charlie, nearing twelve years, has his own ailments and strange behaviours. The owner sets aside calming chews for each of these two gentlemen at most visits as they continue to adjust to their changing lives together. It is an honor to be by their side!
